The Early Vision (1988) until now the Seventh-day Adventist presence in Tema was limited to a single church at the Vertical Centre, Community 6. Recognizing the need for expansion, District Pastor Alex Y. A. Brandt-Coker and the Church Board targeted Community 8 for a new branch.The Planting phase preparation: Lay leaders Elder K. Boamah and Yaw Anim Darkoh led house to house visitations to prepare the community for a public crusade.The Crusade: A three-week Public Evangelism campaign ran from June 11 to July 3, 1988. Despite torrential rains and the theft of a campaign tent which cost to replace the effort resulted in 48 baptisms. Early meeting Places: The "baby church" first met in an uncompleted hotel building near the Community 8 market after being evicted from a school classroom.
Mission: Evangelism and Expansion
The core purpose of the church is evangelism. This mission is realized through: Church Planting: The church has successfully established several branches, including Golf City, Saki, Michel Camp, Doryumu, Kodiabe, and most recently, Bediako (2018). Community Impact: Beyond preaching, the church supports the municipality through various evangelistic campaigns and soul-winning efforts. Infrastructure Support: The church pioneered the foundation of the Camp Site and school at Doryumu

Vision: Future Growth and Service The church’s vision focuses on holistic development—spiritual, physical, and charitable: Spiritual Maturity: Continuous nurturing of members through the leadership of various past and present pastors. Modern Facilities: The dedication of the “Millicent Agyenim Boateng Memorial Hall,” a multipurpose edifice designed to enhance Children and Youth Ministries while providing conference facilities. Philanthropy: Maintaining a reputation for "charitable works" and consistently funding programs at the Conference and Union levels to advance the cause of Christ
